Biography
From a very young age nature fascinated me. I was always outside to investigate what nature had to offer me. Since then I have been very lucky to be able to visit a lot of different countries. But even in Holland a lot of beautiful nature can be seen.
The difference between Holland and most other countries is the huge diversity in such a small area. The landscape changes a lot within a few kilometres.
In 2005 I decided to buy a digital camera to capture my nature moments. To become familiar with the technical aspects of digital photography I followed evening classes at ‘Fotogram’ in Amsterdam. In 2006 I joined the nature photographers club ‘Objectief’ in Heerhugowaard to meet more nature photographers. At the club we share experience and learn a lot by being very critical in a positive way.
In 2008 I completed a study as nature guide. The study helps me to understand more about the nature I photograph.
I spend a good deal of my time in nature as a photographer and as a nature guide. To share these moments in nature with you I exhibit my photos regularly. Hopefully more and more people will get enthusiastic about all the lovely things nature has to offer us. I hope you enjoy visiting my site. Maybe it will inspire you to go out more and enjoy it yourself.
